Intro to Python on Windows
Part 1: Installing Software
The biggest hurdle that beginners face is often installing and configuring their environment, before they can even start to write code.
By environment, we mean the collection of other programs that our own code and tools will use.
To write Python programs, we'll need a text editor, we'll also need a python interpreter and we'll need 'pip', which is the python package installer.
Doesn't sound too tricky, but there are lots of little 'gotchas' that can catch you out, which can be particularly frustrating for beginners.
